Jard Lerebours is a community oriented Jamaican-Haitian filmmaker, writer and curator from
Long Island, NY. They approach filmmaking as a conversation between friends and family in
communion owing to a West Indian upbringing by a loving village. Jard’s practice straddles the
worlds of cinema and video art. His work has been showcased internationally by The Atlanta
Film Festival, Film Diary NYC, Indie Memphis Film Festival, NoBudge and Uppsala
International Short Film Festival. Jard is currently working on an experimental documentary
about 360 waves and the rituals of Black masculinity.
