triple threat

April 3rd, 2007 by gina

i already posted on the blog once today but as hard as i tried to wait until tomorrow to post this, i could NOT (i should have known that resistance is futile….)

in reference to exciting brunch conversation: this post will contain 3 videos (of one show) that are all awesome for 3 reasons

1) they are from an awesome childrens show

2) they are about star trek: the next generation

3) they are about behind the scenes film/tv production and you learn tons about shooting and editing!!

highlights include learning how to create the “beaming” effect (which we MUST try soon) and riker’s reaction shot

  1. me & jay & zara watched this last night and it was AWESOME. i can’t believe how much of this one episode of Reading Rainbow was impressed indelibly upon my childhood brain – every five minutes i was like “hey, i remember this part!”

  2. c’est vrai!

i also wonder how much influence it secretly had on my wanting to direct, shoot, edit etc…

  3. totally my favorite episode of reading rainbow ever. i’m so glad you found/posted it!

double bonus points for also finding the following episodes:

1 – the one where he learns how to roller disco

2 – the one where he visits the fashion district and gets a custom jacket with crazy accordion sleeves.
