One of these was a nice old man who ate soup a lot and always tipped really generously. The end of the season came, as it must, and the old man announced that he was leaving for the winter. My friend wished him well and, after he'd gone, remarked to a co-worker that he'd been a friendly customer. "Yeah," her co-worker said, "That Howard Zinn is such a nice man." !!!
